Academy F-22A Air Dominance Fighter

From the Manufacturer Model Rectifier Corporation, working closely with Academy Plastics Company has released the 100% new, definitive F-22 Raptor, stealth aircraft kit in 1/48 scale. After years of waiting for the super sensitive research, Academy was finally able to receicve the correct information to develop this highly detailed kit. Unlike any Raptor kit before it, this is the first truly accurate model of this most awesome air platform of the 21 century. In 2003 F-22s started to roll off the production lines and arrive at their designated squadrons. Lockheed Martin is producing them at the rate of 20 per year. By 2007 100 aircraft had been delivered to the USAF. This advanced aircraft is capable of so much more than the F-15 it replaces. Its stealth shape and construction (including all weapons being carried internally, allows it to avoid radar detection. By vectoring its exhaust nozzles, it’s powerful thrust enables the Raptor to complete maneuvers other planes can’t even begin to try. Academy’s Passion for Precision is evident throughout this Model. Academy “scoped out” every panel, rivet and detail point creating over 275 exacting parts. Cockpit, landing gear, separate wing flaps and an extensive, accurate weapons load are all there... AIM-9M, AIM-9X, AIM-120C, GBU-32 bomb. The weapons bay can be built open or closed, and of course the modeler can position the exhaust nozzles any way he wishes. The incredibly detailed, Cartograph (of Italy) decal sheet matches the full breadth and depth of the rest of the kit. Will this kit take pride of place in a modelers air force… absolutely.
